Indian Head Cents were made from 1859 to 1909 with all coins minted in Philadelphia until the final two years when coins were also made in San Francisco.
James Longacre designed the Indian Head Cent which is actually a representation of Liberty wearing an Indian headdress. Indian Head Cents are one of the most popular of all U.S. coins!
#202354: Fantastic bright luster and a great strike. A beautiful coin and super flashy!
#207286: A gorgeous, well struck example of this rare proof. Radiant iridescent orange-red surfaces with a liberal dose of light tan on the reverse and a hint of lavender on both sides give this Gem tremendous eye appeal. The surfaces are nearly mark-free on this pristine early proof! Breen states that of the 1000+ minted, 514 were sold in proof sets and a least 28 individually for a total of 542 coins. The rest were melted. This is a great chance for an advanced collector to add a really outstanding coin to his or her holdings!
